Welcome to the website of the Piedmont Caledonia Pipes and Drums, a traditional Scottish Highland Pipe band based in Warrenton, VA. The band was formed in the summer of 2005 and has continued to grow and provide entertainment to the local and regional community since then.
The band made its first public appearance in October 2005 when its founding two members marched and played in the first ever Warrenton Heritage Day Parade. Invitations to play in the parades and events of many of the surrounding towns soon followed. In the summer of 2006 the band presented evening concerts in parks and plazas thoughout the local area. In 2008 and 2009 the band piped the seniors of Culpeper High School into their graduation ceremony. In 2010 it led the graduating class of Lord Faifax Community College into its graduation ceremony. The band has performed at Celtic festivals throughout the area; at private parties; as special guests in a local community band concert; and at many other events. And, as this is being written, the band prepares for its second "road trip", a repeat appearance in the Raleigh, NC St. Patrick's Day Parade.
